Vereint bauend – vernetzt forschend

Am 8. April 2025 wurde die Grundsteinlegung für das „Graz Center of Physics“ vorgenommen – eines der größten Universitätsbauprojekte Österreichs. Der Neubau, der im Jahr 2030 seine Türen öffnet, wird die Physik-Institute der Universität Graz und der TU Graz an einem Standort vereinen und eine neue Ära der interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit einläuten. Dazu wurde eine physikalische “Zeitkapsel” mit Urkunden, Tageszeitungen und Infos zu NAWI Graz in die Bodenplatte eingemauert. On 8 April 2025, the foundation stone was laid for the Graz Center of Physics – one of Austria's largest university construction projects. The new building, which will open its doors in 2030, will unite the physics departments of the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology at a single location and herald a new era of interdisciplinary collaboration. To mark the occasion, a physical “time capsule” with certificates, daily newspapers and information about NAWI Graz was walled into the base plate. Wählen und gestalten

Am 21. Mai 2025 wählen die Mitarbeiter:innen der Universität Graz neue Mitglieder des Senats für eine dreijährige Funktionsperiode: 13 Professor:innen, sechs Vertreter:innen des Mittelbaus sowie eine:n Vertreter:in des allgemeinen Personals. Das Wähler:innenverzeichnis liegt vom 15. bis 22. April 2025 in der Rechts- und Organisationsabteilung zur Einsicht auf. >> mehr erfahren
 

On 21 May 2025, the employees of the University of Graz will elect new members of the Senate for a three-year term of office: 13 professors, six representatives of the non-professorial teaching staff and one representative of the general staff. The electoral roll will be available for inspection at the Legal Department from 15 to 22 April 2025. >> learn more
 

Engagement, das sichtbar wird

Der Anton-Schelnast-Preis für Leistung und Innovation wird ab 2025 alle zwei Jahre vergeben – erstmals für Leistungen aus 2023 und 2024. Ausgezeichnet werden Engagement, Ideenreichtum und Kollegialität von Mitarbeiter:innen des allgemeinen Personals in den Kategorien “Innovation”, “Kooperation” sowie “Soziales & Flexibilität”. Nominierungen – Einzelpersonen oder Teams bis vier Personen – sind ab sofort über das neue Online-Tool möglich. Save the Date: Die Preisverleihung und der Familientag finden in diesem Jahr am 12. The Anton Schelnast Award for Performance and Innovation will be presented every two years starting in 2025 – for the first time for achievements in 2023 and 2024. The award recognises the commitment, inventiveness and collegiality of non-scientific staff in the categories of “Innovation”, “Cooperation” and “Social Affairs & Flexibility”. Nominations – individuals or teams of up to four people – can be submitted via the new online tool from now on. Save the Date: The award ceremony and family day will take place on 12 September this year!
