Doppelte Auszeichnung für die Universität Graz: Beim Sustainability Award 2020 belegte sie in der Kategorie "Kommunikation und Entscheidungsfindung" die Plätze 1 und 3. "Gold" ging an Klimaforscher Gottfried Kirchengast vom Wegener Center. Darüber hinaus konnte Vizerektor Peter Riedler von Bundesministerin Leonore Gewessler den dritten Platz für das Projekt "Green Mobility Design Thinking Challenge" entgegennehmen. >> mehr erfahren

Over the past few years the University of Graz has done a lot to improve sustainable mobility. It has provided branded bikes for employees and constructed parking places for them, for example. These efforts have now been rewarded with the “CFE certificate for cycle-friendly enterprises” in gold, for the second time since 2017. >> read more (german only)

Im Rahmen der European University Alliance ARQUS findet zum ersten Mal die Virtual Company Creation Challenge statt. Dabei wird jeweils ein unternehmerisches studentisches Startup-Projektteam der sieben Partneruniversitäten nominiert. Für die Universität Graz geht "SonoTOM" ins Rennen. SonoTOM überzeugt durch ein innovatives Schulungsmodell, das es medizinischen Fachkräften ermöglicht, die psychomotorischen Fähigkeiten zu üben, die für den ultraschallgesteuerten Gefäßzugang erforderlich sind, bevor sie die Intervention bei Patienten durchführen. Von 16. bis 22. November 2020 kann für das innovative Grazer Studentinnen-Startup-Team abgestimmt werden.  >> mehr erfahren

The Virtual Company Creation Challenge is being held for the first time as part of the European University Alliance ARQUS. With this regard, an entrepreneurial student start-up project team from each of the 7 partner universities is nominated. For the University of Graz SonoTOM is in the race. SonoTOM convinces with an innovative training model that allows medical staff to practice the psychomotor skills set necessary for ultrasound guided vascular access before performing the intervention on patients.
